How Not To Summon A Demon Lord – Episode 6 (Review)

Last week in this ridiculously long titled anime, we were introduced to a new character named Alicia who joins Shera, Rem, and Diablo as an adventurer. This week the crew learns from Celeste that there’s someone who could possibly remove the collars off of Rem and Shera. But is that more important than the probable war that could ensue if Shera doesn’t return to her rightful place as Princess?
  Sigh.
I knew it was going way too well for too long, (like two episodes), to not have excessive fan service. I can’t imagine how this wouldn’t be pleasing the hetero fanboys that are somehow too good for hentai but not too good for the “technique” used to remove Shera’s collar, (of which SPOILER it doesn’t get removed…),.

On the much more interesting side of the episode, Rem is confronted about her demonic aura and there seems to have something off about Alicia. It’s so quick you could blink and miss it but she does a simple ritual with Rem that seems to work to her surprise or she was attempting to draw out information from Rem but backfires. Shera’s older brother makes a questionably peaceful appearance as he claims to only want to know for himself that Shera has made to abandon her throne. The cast wasn’t the only one suspicious of his claims and it looks like next week will unleash the true intentions of a new villain.
Hopefully next week will be more on the action side than the sexual side in How Not To Summon A Demon Lord.
  I still miss Edelgard.

  1. Yep, definitely not the greatest episode this show has offered and it seem weird to abandon the whole stop a war story line for what they delivered this week.
